Where the 90-day version becomes genuinely useful is for multiple-entry travel. Business travellers, people visiting family, or anyone making two or three short Singapore trips in a three-month period can enter and exit multiple times within the same visa validity. For a single leisure holiday, the 30-day entry allowance is more than enough.

Who Qualifies

No complicated criteria here. The requirements are standard and most applicants who prepare properly get approved without issues.

Passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months beyond the arrival date in Singapore. Not 6 months from today. 6 months beyond when you’re actually planning to land. This catches people out regularly, especially those with passports getting close to renewal. Renew before applying if it’s close.

Purpose of visit needs to fall under tourism, short business visits, or visiting family and friends. The visit visa doesn’t cover employment, long-term study, or anything requiring a separate pass.

February through April is the most comfortable stretch. Lower rainfall, manageable humidity. December is worth visiting for the Orchard Road light-up. June to August has the Great Singapore Sale. No genuinely bad time to go, just different types of warm.
